The program, Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics provides the students with the required skills and knowledge and is aptly suited for those individuals, who are willing to pursue a career in the engineering field or engineering sector. It also offers the students the opportunity to acquire an understanding of the fundamental knowledge in Electrical and Electronics as well as its diverse areas of study.
Programme Aim
We aim to help the students to enhance their skills necessary for analyzing, managing and resolving problems related to Engineering Technology in the field of Electrical and Electronics. We also focus on the development of analytical and critical thinking skills of the students, so that they are able to prove their competency in their professional field of work.

Entry Requirements
In order to be eligible for the course of study in Engineering, candidates should have fulfilled the relevant minimum qualifications indicated under one of the following three categories.
Category (1)
(a) Sri Lankan GCE A/L: A minimum of 3 "S" passes in the approved A/L subjects including Combined Maths and Physics.
OR
(b) Cambridge/Edexcel A/L: A minimum of 3 "E" passes including Maths and Physics.
OR
(c) Sat for GCE A/L in Engineering Technology stream including Engineering Technology and Science for Technology plus successful completion of Lincoln Foundation in Science and Engineering (10 months)
Category (2)
Those without 3 A/L passes as indicated in category (1) (a) OR (1)(b) but sat for A/L examination in Maths stream AND successful completion of Lincoln Foundation in Science and Engineering (6 months)
Category (3)
GCE O/L 6 passes including Maths and successful completion of Lincoln Foundation in Science and Engineering (12 months)

1) Successful completion of academic requirement for NDT/NDES/HNDE - SLIATE
2) Pearson Higher National Diploma/SQA Advanced Diploma/Any other Diploma in relevant field to be considered on case by basis in consultation with Lincoln University
